Vote for Australia Running Photo of the year

Posted: November 18, 2007 in running, Sports News

Athletics Australia will announce the winner of this year’s Outstanding Photograph of the Year at the Telstra Athlete of the Year Awards at the Sofitel Melbourne on Sunday, December 2. And they are asking you to assist them select the best running image of 2007 from a shorlist of four images.

The photos are of outstanding Aussies taken by equally outstanding photographers.

The two photographers are Mark Dadswell (Getty Images) and Michael Dodge (Herald Sun)

Michael’s snaps are of Australian distance runner Craig Mottram in training at Falls Creek, Victoria. One looks dull and I dont see anything cool about it, the other one of Mottram limping over rocks is beautifull.

My vote goes to Mark’s photo of World champion Jana Rawlinson in a flying motion at 400m hurdles heats at the IAAF World Championships in Osaka.
