In 1857, World’s 1st soccer club, Sheffield F.C., founded in England. Today they are celebrating 150 yrs. In a bygone era mob football played between towns, could involve hundred of players and go on for hours, often with violent clashes.

But in 1857, wine merchant William Prest and Solicitor Nathaniel Creswick decided to form a “football” club to keep themselves fit. They named it Sheffield FC

In 1964, 18th Olympic games close at Tokyo, Japan

In 1984, Young Steffi Graf plays her 1st pro tennis match

Then as an innocent girl and below a confident show girl


In 1989, After a week’s delay due to earthquake, 86 World Series game 3 is played
